Lacey set school and state record for discus in the Ridgefield Invitational on May 3rd

West Linn High School Girl’s Golf Team

Ashely Muresan, Bayler Brundage, Brady Turnquist, Lauren Grothe & Olivia Venderby

Three Rivers League Champions

3rd place finish – 6A State Golf

Kanani Lambert – Softball – Beaverton High School

Great leader, who is dedicated to helping other to get better every day. As well as a dedicated student with great grades. Lead out team in Batting Average, HE and Slugging %.

Gaby Severson – Tennis – Newberg High School

Won the Pacific Conference Consolation Title (Honorable Mention All-Conference)  

Quiet leader, who leads by example.  Her work ethic sets the tone. Gaby is Determined, focused, persistent

Gaby is one of our top tennis student-athletes who won three of four matches at the Pacific Conference Tennis Tournament last week.  Her ability to overcome adversity lead her to the Consolation Bracket Championship, where she won 6-4, 6-3.

Boys:

Simon Luedtke – Golf – Newberg High School

After advancing to the Regional Tournament last year, Simon returned again this year, but also brought his whole team with him.  Although hurt, Simon played in the regional, knowing that if he did, his whole team had a chance to advance to the State Tournament for the first time in school history.

2017-18: Honorable Mention All-League

2018-19:  1st Team All-League – State Qualifier

Simon is the true leader of the program.  He demonstrates the high expectations of behavior, dedication and honor that golf demands.  He also guides his teammates and is motivated on helping them all get better.

Arthur Venderby – Golf – West Linn High School

As a Freshman, Arthur is leading the team in scoring average and tied for medalist at the league match at Tualatin  Country Club with an even par 72.

Grant Schoen – Baseball – Clackamas High School

Has had an outstanding month. Hit .462 with 19 runs scored, 5 doubles, 4 triples, 8 rbi’s, 7 stolen bases, 13 innings pitched, 22 strikeouts, with 1 save.

Ahmed Ibrahim – Track – Parkrose High School

Ahmed is one of the best runners in the state right now and is a Team Leader

Cole Hoecker – Track – Sandy High School

Cole has worked tremendously hard this season, has been a great leader, and performed admirably at the District Meet.  He is an outstanding young man, and good student as well.

John Oleson – Baseball – Beaverton High School

John was a big reason for Beaverton finishing the regular season 8th in state. During the month of May (8 games), John is hitting .696 with 10 runs and 14 RBIs. He was nominated player if the year for the metro league. He has done all of this while maintaining a 3.8 GPA.

Nathan Reed – Track and Field – Beaverton High School
